After a difficult start to the Motown Cup the Mount Brydges Cougars battle back to earn a birth in the finals and a chance to showcase the team's character. Faced with the challenge of learning a new style of hockey and facing A teams the Mount Brydges AE Cougars adapt and elevate their game.
Game 1 vs. Fort Wayne Komets 8-1 loss
Facing what would be the tournament’s top seed, the players used the first two periods to learn a new style of hockey. By the third period the Cougars were ready to play this new game and both scored and only allowed 1 goal in the third.

Game 2 vs. Michigan Travelers 2-2 tie
After a hearty breakfast of powdered toast the team was ready to turn things around and start down the road to the finals.

Game 3 vs. Ajax Peewee A 2-1 win
In a must win game the Cougars could have shut it down after having two goals called off. Not willing to give up the team battled back to tie it with 59 seconds in the third. A tie was not enough and 19 seconds later the Cougars had cemented their victory.

Game 4 the final vs. Fort Wayne Komets 3-1 loss
In what was the most exciting game of the tournament the Cougars surprised a confident Komet team with a revamped defence and a relentless forecheck. The komets needed two lucky breaks to score 2 goals to put the cup just out of reach.
