Although our first game was a loss there was much to learn from our first League game vs the opposing Mount Brydges Cougars team.
The first goal of the season goes in from a hard driving slapshot from the point. Defenceman Phil Doxtator gets us on the board in the first period fired in through the crowd to find its home between the pipes.
Centre Dean Van Herpe was unfortunately ejected from the game and will have to suffer a one game suspension from a questionable checking from behind call.
After a pep talk from Coach Richard between the second and third periods we came out hard but it wasn't quite enough to tie the score up. Removing Callum from goal proved fruitless as another goal was slid in on a short undefended breakaway by the opposition.
