Girls Hockey
Submitted By John Harding on Monday, April 09, 2018
MBDAA Parent and Guardians,
Regretfully the MBDAA is suspending the girls hockey program effective immediately. With declining local enrollment and low numbers in the younger age groups combined with girls associations providing programs exclusively for girls, moving our girls program forward has become increasingly difficult.

This decision was not made in haste. The current and past board of directors have been looking for a way to resolve this issue for many months in search of ways to hang on and grow the girls program.

We have been in contact with Blue Water Girls Hockey informing them of our decision. The OWHA has also been informed and we are awaiting a response from them as to how we are to proceed in regards with PTS forms and releases.

We are saddened about this decision but as a board we want the best for our girls and we were not able to provide this to them at this time. We will do our best to assist you when possible to answer any questions you may have.

Respectfully Yours,

MBDAA Board of Directors
